DEP can sometimes falsely flag older game executables as a security threat, crashing them immediately.
: Both the Steam client and the game executable should be run with elevated permissions. Close Steam completely.
The rwdi.exe error is annoying, but it is rarely permanent. Usually, Fix #1 (the Steam Launch Option) or Fix #2 (Forcing Dedicated Graphics) resolves the issue immediately.
