The Indian government has launched several schemes, such as the Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao (Save the Girl, Educate the Girl) program, to promote girls' education and address the issue of female foeticide. According to a report by the World Bank, the program has led to a significant increase in the number of girls enrolled in schools, with a 12% increase in enrollment rates between 2014 and 2019.
