: After her wedding, Lachchi's (Rani Mukerji) husband, Kishanlal (Shah Rukh Khan), leaves for a five-year business trip the very next day. A ghost who has fallen in love with Lachchi takes Kishanlal's form and lives with her. The story follows the "riddle" (paheli) that arises when the real husband returns and both men must prove their identity.
