The Dark Knight Rises (2012) is the epic conclusion to Christopher Nolan's acclaimed Batman trilogy. Set eight years after the events of The Dark Knight , it follows an aging and reclusive Bruce Wayne as he is forced to return to his role as Batman to save Gotham City from total destruction.
