For 2.5-axis milling or simple lathe work on an older PC, Mastercam X5 is fine. For 3D surfacing, five-axis, or any high-volume production, X5 is dangerously obsolete. One single toolpath mistake due to X5's old verify engine could scrap a $10,000 part.
