The printer ignores reset commands in normal mode. Turn off the L3252. Hold down the “Stop” (circle with triangle) button and the “Power” button simultaneously. Keep holding them until the power light flashes. Release both buttons. The printer is now in a special low-level communication mode.
Epson printers have a service life based on a sponge (waste ink pad) inside the machine that absorbs ink from cleaning cycles. When the counter reaches 100%, the printer locks permanently and displays a “Service Required” error.
