Double-click the iMovie_10.2.5.dmg file. This will open a new window showing the iMovie app icon.
If a popup appears saying the current version requires a newer macOS, click anyway to get the latest version compatible with your system (which will often be 10.2.5 for Catalina users). Method 2: Installing from a DMG or PKG imovie 1025 dmg install
Do not double-click the iMovie icon inside the DMG. That runs the installer incorrectly. Double-click the iMovie_10
