The DVB-er 2016 project aimed to upgrade ITV's broadcasting infrastructure to ensure high-quality digital signals were transmitted to viewers across the UK. The project involved the deployment of new DVB-T2 (Digital Video Broadcasting - Terrestrial 2) technology, which offered improved spectral efficiency and enabled ITV to broadcast high-definition (HD) content to a wider audience.
